At MPEC, we are pleased to be a part of the worldwide effort to sustain and protect the environment, especially our planet’s valuable forests. Voluntary third-party forest certification began in the 1990s in response to market concerns about forest management and illegal logging, pimarily in developing countries. We are certified by NEPCon to the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) standards for chain of custody. We are certified by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP™ (PwC™) to the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) and the Programe for Endorsement of Forest Certification™ (PEFC™) standards for their chain of custody. By definition, Chain of Custody certification ensures that certified material is identified or kept segregated from non-certified or non-controlled material through this chain.
